Julia was working the register, doing her thing, when in walked a mysterious figure with flowing locks and a hunger for snacks: Arik, accompanied by his Best Man-to-be, Ian.

She noticed him. Not in a "he’s probably going to buy a burrito" way, but in a "who is that man with the Fabio hair and what’s his skincare routine?" kind of way. Then he disappeared.

Weeks went by. Julia, focused on surviving her senior year of high school, filed the moment away as one of those small blips in life you don’t expect to circle back. Then, like a rom-com on fast-forward, Arik returned, walking in looking like he had stepped out of a shampoo commercial and a barbershop. The long hair was gone. New haircut, new vibe, but still the same guy. Julia noticed again. And again, he walked out with snacks, and unknowingly took a little more of her attention with him.

Time passed, Julia focused on her senior year of high school, assuming she'd just had a fleeting Sheetz crush. But fate (and snacks) had other plans.

Fast forward a couple of weeks, Julia goes to a hangout. She’s watching people play video games when bam, there’s Arik again, quietly watching from the corner like a brooding indie movie character. So Julia, in true confident-queen fashion, makes the first move:
